Ben

Ben is a closet foodie, devoted to spice and all things nice as well as his wife and two (very) demanding kids.

I like to think of myself as a bit of a whiz when it comes to cakes but the reality is luck and a mastery of butter icing often play a major role in my culinary creations. Currently enjoying working my way through “Catalan Cuisine: Europe’s last great culinary secret” by Colman Andrews and The Hummingbird Bakery cookbook.

After a day at work I relax by spending a good hour or so in our tiny kitchen concocting all manner of family meals, usually from a strange array of left-overs and odds and sods from the fridge…fear not though, everything blogged here is tried, tested and tasted to ensure you only get the best!

Carmen

Carmen is a strangely strange but oddly normal German who is still on the right side of 40. If she is not looking for the next best job she loves cooking and baking. Being vegetarian she prefers basic and genuine flavors and likes good healthy food without camping it up.

Simon

Simon is a consultant software engineer in his mid-thirties, and lives in Dulwich, South-East London. His culinary interests include trying to cook Chinese food, and wondering whether there is anything that can’t be cooked even better in a cast iron skillet.

Alongside maintaining DontBurn.it, Simon contributes cryptic crossword solutions to Fifteensquared, and talks about matters related to computer programming on his own blog at Pointbeing.net. Accusations that Simon might be a bit nerdy are clearly without basis.
